As members of varying Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and Working Groups (WGs), SSTi helps develop and review system requirements, test plans, test procedures, system test documentation, Computer Program Change Requests (CPCRs), and specification changes (SCs) along with conducting requirements and software code reviews for the Next Generation Simulator (NGS), Aegis Combat System (ACS) and Standard Missle (SM) programs.

As software developers, SSTi develops and maintains ACS & SM mission dependant applications, such as Missile Analysis Test Suite (MATS), Missile Analysis Suite (MAS), and AutoScribe using Java, HTML, C#, and Matlab as well as the ACS Weapon Control System (WCS) model using Fortran.
